About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Sales you will drive growth of the key transport tipper brands in Northern Victoria and Tasmania and contribute directly to the company's success. This is an exciting and diverse role; importantly you will have strong product support and will be provided with structure, training and career progression opportunities.

You will be in charge of driving sustainable sales growth in the regions with the key objective of building relationships that see you become well-renowned and the go-to-person in the market as this will help you to retain accounts and build on the pre-existing retail customer base.

Travel and flexibility are both required and encouraged in this role, as regular travel to your regional customers every month is needed to build the required relationships and identify opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

    • Drive sustainable sales growth in the region

    • Work alongside the General Manager of Sales and an experienced colleague to deliver on sales objectives

    • Identify and recommend improved materials transport solutions to customers

    • Design and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base

    • Effectively manage relationships to achieve sales performance

    • Provide an outstanding customer experience leading to retention

    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts in order to stay ahead of the game

    • Ability to grow within your role, with a long-term view of career progression

    • A keen eye for detail and strong commercial acumen

    • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a busy and high pressure environment

About You

Tipper product knowledge, strong mechanical aptitude, an agricultural background or capital equipment sales combined with natural, open and down to earth communications skills are critical to your success.

Your solid mechanical background will allow you to provide valuable and necessary insights to your existing and potential customers and allow you to identify new opportunities. An inquisitive, friendly and genuine nature that allows you to create conversation will help you build relationships particularly in regional areas as you look to learn more about your customer's requirements.

This company is well structured and will provide a strong support network, yet you must have a pro-active and hands on approach to building business as you will be working in a highly competitive B2B environment.

A tertiary qualification in Engineering or technical trade background is great however, it is more important that you demonstrate a positive can do attitude, passion, hunger, drive to succeed, clear and natural communication skills.
