As a change agent, can you bring an innovative approach to corporate service delivery in complex, multi-layered businesses?

As a crucial enabler of service delivery to multiple departments, and a partner to your customers, you will provide and source, effective and efficient Corporate Services, within an evolving service delivery environment. Hallmarks of success will be your ability to lead the rationalisation of corporate support services, resolve critical resource issues, embed core business process, and ensure effective management processes are in place at all levels.

You will lead a reorientation of thinking and operating style to become truly customer focused. By your willingness to assist others, you will raise the profile and value of Corporate Services and assist the transition to a trusted business partner relationship. You will actively engage with stakeholders intra and inter-departmentally, be adept at balancing competing interests, and through your representation on various committees, influence positive outcomes across government.

This all starts with your review of the Department Hubs, assessment of risk, and feedback from customers. From here, you will set a vision for Corporate Services, communication the direction and expectations, and devise solutions to navigate government. With every change agenda, the quick wins are vital to instill confidence, display capability and demonstrate outcomes. You will embrace innovation and digitisation, and shift capability to online services. With data and metrics you will educate and inform, as change is endorsed when stories are effectively told and others are taken on a journey.

This high profile, Deputy Director-General role is ideal for a senior executive with strong values-alignment to today's public service, who is excited by the challenge of leading operational and cultural reform. Demonstrated success in navigating complex, multi-layered environments with fluidity and sensitivity, along with exposure to the policies and workings of government, will be required for this influential and outcomes-focused opportunity.
