Exceptional Opportunity for an Experienced Project Manager
Capital Works Management Experience required to support a long term project

Providing essential services to the State of Victoria, our client has a network of buildings and facilities across Victoria. Due to a major on going project, they are looking to provide a significant series of upgrades to these buildings and as such require a number of Project Managers for an immediate start.



The key responsibility of the role is to manage under direction, the implementation of major capital works in a complex working environment. This will require you to:



    • Assist with the management of operational contractual requirements of allocated projects

    • Assist analysing Hazards and Risks on specific buildings

    • Address compliance and governance issues that may arise

    • Administer contracts through robust governance covering financial, documentary and legal requirements of both the State and contractors.

    • Attend construction site regularly to act as on-site liaison between the State Gov and the relevant Head Contractor.

    • Procure the best outcomes (in terms of value for money) from new infrastructure development, through competitive processes involving the private sector.


    In order to be considered for this role, you will ideally have an appropriate qualification in engineering, architecture, project management or proven track record of equivalent experience. In addition you will have:



    • Experience delivering built environment capital works projects

    • Liaising with head contractors

    • Significant stakeholder management and negotiation experience including complex issue resolution with multiple parties

    • Maintained quality management regime

    • Reported to an agreed framework providing high quality advice on project delivery matters

    • Managed the procurement of, and contracts with, technical advisers, construction contractors and other consultants associated with allocated projects
