About The Company

We are working on behalf of the Australian manufacturer MaxiTRANS on this exciting new role at Australia's largest supplier of road transport trailer and rigid body solutions. About The Role A strategic restructure has created a new national General Manager, Sales role. You will contribute to the strategic direction of the MaxiTRANS Group and work closely with the Group General Manager

  • Sales & Marketing.

  • You will be primarily responsible for delivering the national sales budget; leveraging customer insights and campaign strategies to win, grow and retain key national accounts as well as the retail customer base via our national dealer network.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive sustainable sales growth in the retail sales network

    • Define, articulate and deliver on the vision and mission of Maxitrans within the sales team and national dealer network

    • Effectively manage a national sales network to achieve sales performance

    • Drive outstanding customer experience leading to retention

    • Ability to lead, develop and manage staff within a collaborative team environment

    • A keen eye for detail and strong commercial acumen

    • Ability to prioritise and execute tasks in a busy and high pressure environment

About You

An experienced individual that has had extensive commercial exposure, preferably in a bespoke capital equipment segment or +10 years experience in a retail sales/operations management type role will see you hit the ground running.

A proven track record of performance and success in selling and marketing where you have grown a business in a highly competitive B2B environment through a variety of strategies is imperative. Your pro-active and pragmatic approach will see you engage in and drive strategy and activities in a hands on manner from basic to the complex while always keeping the big picture in mind.

A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Business, and a post graduate qualification is an advantage. However, of more importance is your positive can do attitude, passion, hunger, drive to succeed, clear and natural communication skills and the ability to lead and inspire your team. Extensive interstate travel will be required.
