The Company:

Our multi-disciplinary engineering client are currently looking for a Geotechnical Engineer with Victorian D&C project experience to work across major road/rail infrastructure, utilities, industrial and energy sectors.

This is global engineering consultancy are currently working on a wide selection of major infrastructure projects across Victoria and interstate with a long-term focus on further building a skilled and talented Geotechnical Engineering team capable of working across a multitude of differing projects.

Suitable candidates will be given the opportunity to work with a globally recognised engineering consultancy and be part of some of the largest projects across Victoria and an ability to be recognised in the local industry.

The Job:

The role of Geotechnical Engineer will work across a variety of projects with a core activity within major infrastructure, some key activities will include;

  • Regular use of popular design packages such as Slope W
  • Involvement across project lifecycle (from concept to completion)
  • Stakeholder engagement across various internal and external project points-of-contact
  • Varied project environments involving slope assessment, foundation and retaining wall design
  • A keen eye to technical detail and progression in the Geotechnical sector
  • Ability to advise and support technical teams
  • Report writing and analytics to compliment design solution
  • Working across diverse project portfolio
  • Ability to step in to diverse teams and adapt to changing workplace environments

The Person:

The ideal person for this role will demonstrate some or all of the following attributes;

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Ideally candidates with strong VicRoads or Victorian project experience
  • Clear demonstrative report writing skills
  • A local project understanding enabling knowledge of Victorian standards
  • Ability to engage with technical teams and take control of a projects at design phase
  • Capable of adapting to various projects and teams
  • Understanding of design and construction work and their phases following geotechnical analysis
