THE ROLE


The Manager, HRIS Information Systems is accountable for the management of HR business systems. This includes responsibility for ongoing process improvement and ensuring excellent, fit-for-purpose service to leaders and staff of this organisation. The role is also responsible for leading strategic projects relating to the Ascender (Alesco) Pay and other HR Information Systems.


In collaboration with relevant stakeholders you will implement identified process improvements, this role will also see you be accountable for System availability and performance, including systems administration, playing a key role in systems upgrades, implementing new functionality and reporting with SQL.


You will engage with business units to ensure HR system configuration and processes are aligned to their business process needs, lead detailed planning, implementation, risk management and evaluation of projects inline with the organisation's strategic plans.


Naturally you will be able to demonstrate strong domain knowledge with HR/Payroll systems and processes.



KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



    • Experience in maintaining and administering Oracle-based information systems and understanding on payroll accounting system processes. Ascender (Alesco) experience preferred.

    • Evidence of advanced analytical skills, critical thinking and a high level of initiative.

    • Experience using business reporting tools such as Oracle Discoverer, Oracle Apex, SQL Plus, PLSQL or other data extraction tools. Knowledge of SQL Query writing is advantageous

    • Passion for and proven ability to drive improvement and for delivering organisational outcomes.

    • Sophisticated communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively at all levels, including senior management to resolve challenging issues.

    • Degree qualifications in Human Resources or Information systems, and extensive relevant experience; or extensive work experience and specialist expertise, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
