This role is with one of Queensland's biggest government Departments. The role is fast-paced, dynamic and would suit an autonomous and flexible individual. The HR consultant will be responsible for employee retention, driven HR activities and developing strategies to retain great candidate and client relationships and to recruit top talent.

Hudson is seeking an experienced HR Consultant who can provide effective human recourses services that meet the Department's requirements by:

    • Undertaking HR projects, including research and preparation of associated reports, submissions and correspondence, and implement outcomes

    • Supporting the operational areas in developing, implementing, administering and reviewing strategic human resource management and organizational frameworks

    • Provide relevant data and accompanying analysis to support business initiatives and employee management and workplace interventions

    • Facilitate the resolution of complex issues though the provision of the effective support, though case management and workplace interventions

    • Providing authoritative advice and support services to management and staff across a full range of human recourse matters including:

    • HR legislation, procedures and process

    • Recruitment and selection

    • Learning and development

    • Employee relations

    • Workforce planning

    • Job analysis and evaluation

    • Payroll related issues

    To be considered for this role you will:

    • Be able to commute from Maryborough to Bundaberg on a regular basis

    • Own a reliable vehicle

    • Have at least 5 years experience in a similar role

    • Ideally have government experience

    • Work responsively in a service delivery environment by developing and maintaining relationships though collaboration with team members, clients and other HR professionals.

    • Posses exceptional verbal and written communication skills
