This is an opportunity to apply your pragmatic generalist HR experience and expertise to drive development of an integrated people and cultural agenda. You will be a key member of the management team and provide the lead advisory role on all human resource matters.

The HR Manager will play a significant role to deliver the Institute's vision to become a world class education provider through organisational capability development, high levels of staff engagement and establishing the organisation as a preferred employer.

You will have the autonomy to deliver HR operational excellence, progress key organisational development projects and further develop the HR function capability.

This role needs strong industrial and employee relations experience and will work closely with the organisation's executive team on change management. Other areas of responsibility and delivery include:

  • Recruitment, talent management and a proactive workforce development strategy
  • Remuneration and reward and recognition
  • Performance management
  • HR Information system development and ownership.

Key requirements include;

A proven ability to lead, develop and manage a team who is responsible for the delivery of a range of human resources, underpinned by high levels of customer service and the Institute's values and behaviours.

To be successful in this role you will have strong judgement and problem solving skills, organisational impact, project management and excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. To support the future vision of the Institute, the role requires a contemporary understanding of HRM practices.

Your experience must include:

- Strong 'hands on' industrial/employee relations background (education sector experience desirable)

- Three to five years successfully leading an HR function with proven results

- Relevant degree and post graduate qualification and experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant management and leadership experience and education and training.
