The purpose of this role is to process settlement documentation, review for accuracy and compliance with loan approval and facilitate the settlement of funds to the introducer, supplier or dealer. Additionally, the settlements consultant is responsible for the collection of all relevant documents, relating to each loan approval and arranges secure storage.

This role has the view to extend for high performing candidates so please ensure you have unrestricted work rights before you apply for the position.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Collect and allocate all fees and charges associated with new accounts to the correct General ledger account.
  • Review and evaluate transactional payment calculations for accuracy.
  • Provide support and assistance to Advisors in regard to complaints or product and account queries where needed.
  • Champion a high performance culture by being an effective communicator and an advocate of the desired culture
  • Provide prompt professional and courteous service in all contact with internal & external customers.
  • Update all aspects of customer contact within the receivables system to comply with the requirement for maintaining accurate & detailed customer records at all times.
  • Answer all telephone calls promptly and efficiently within a reasonable timeframe and as per department service level agreements.
  • Process all incoming transactions within agreed Service Level Agreements

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Technical expertise and good understanding of settlement procedures
  • Strong knowledge of the finance industry, products and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to problem solve through effective conflict resolution and negotiation
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure on a daily basis
  • Ability to work cooperatively and provide flexibility and support to the Customer Service and Settlements team
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships both up and down reporting lines and with all customers, both internal and external
  • Ability to work flexible and occasional additional hours as required
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Relevant industry specific background desirable
  • Previous loans experience or knowledge, either consumer or business, is essential
  • Tertiary qualifications (in a business related discipline) also desirable but not essential
