Great opportunity for a Procurement Manager to work with a leading organisation
Immediate start | Contract until Nov 2017 with high possibility of extension
Central Brisbane Location | Paying up to $745/day including super

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to engage in a contract opportunity with a leading organisation within the resources industry.

This is an initial 2-month contract with high possibility of extension, paying up to $745/day including super, based in Brisbane CBD. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately.

Your key responsibilities will include:

    • Design strategy, document requirements, and prepare strategy implementation approaches

    • Act as SME on various project calls and strategy, demonstrating how it aligns to business requirements

    • Design and document the strategy around sourcing requirements for the program

    • Define the decision tree on when to engage internal resources vs external resources

    • Develop documentation outlining policies and procedures for the sourcing process

    • Manage vendors

    • Assist the technology design team by acting as the SME on Business Requirements relating to the sourcing strategy and provide insight on tools used

    • Diagnose the current state and identify key opportunities to drive commercial advantage through improved supply chain management

    • Consult on the development of new and improved procurement strategies

    • Design and prepare implementation plan of procurement strategies and processes that support business strategies and are adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies

    • Review and improve client's programs for vendor analysis and cost reduction to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process

    • Work with suppliers and vendors to improve performance and supply chain

    • Examine and test existing contracts for opportunities for commercial advantage

    • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements

    • Design or implement supply chains strategies and processes that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies

    • Support implementation of new or improved supply chain processes
