Our client is seeking an innovative Procurement Manager to direct and coordinate the procurement process to ensure compliance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and internal procurement policies. Working for Chief Financial Officer and EGM Corporate Services you will act as a lead advisor and deliver contract management reporting solutions and drive proactive engagement with staff globally to manage procurements. This will involve maintaining a calendar of upcoming procurement activities based on contracts and Annual Operating Plan and advise on the procurement process to be used; i.e. open, select or direct source tender, referring to the relevant policy background. You will also ensure probity advisers and an evaluation committee is in place and conduct evaluations in line with the evaluation plan using the relevant tools and compile reports that support recommendations.

Suitable candidates will have tertiary qualifications in business, accounting or finance with a strong working knowledge of MS Office. Essential will be your previous experience in a procurement role and management of the procurement process. Highly regarded is experience in a government environment and use of Government Tender Portal (AusTender). You will have a proven track record working in a high pressure environment working as part of a high performing, cross cultural team of finance professionals and accurately performing complicated financial analysis within tight timeframes.
