Transformation Master Scheduler

Programme Master Scheduler

Top Tier bank is looking to a hire an experienced Master Scheduler to support a $300M Programme. You will report to the Head of PMO

Main Responsibilities:

  • The development and maintenance of a standardised schedule approach across the individual projects as well as development of a Master Schedule including critical path identification
  • Managing schedule risk and dependency through proactive identification and corrective actions
  • Alignment to the Project Execution Framework Methodology (PEFm), Project Governance Framework and Set Up for Success Health Checks
  • Providing reporting metrics to various audiences across the program and organisation
  • Develop, review and analyse individual project plans to create the overarching Master Schedule in sufficient detail to identify and monitor dependencies, resource allocation, milestone progress, assess overall program status, and identify issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop and track key schedule performance metrics
  • Develop mitigation and recovery plans to ensure program milestones are completed in accordance with the contract requirements and financial plans.
  • Establishment of the program critical path and scenario capability
  • Perform independent or collaborative schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Proactively engage with business and IT project/program managers, change leads and stream leads at both project and program levels, and coach them where needed, to ensure delivery of robust project schedules at all levels.
  • Coordinate within the PMO team to ensure project schedules and progress aligns with project forecast throughout the program life cycle
  • Ability to analyse schedules using multiple techniques (such as Monte Carlo simulation) to identify possible outcomes, and to advise PMs and senior management of this.
  • Be capable of easily and confidently making clear and crisp presentations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Ability to interact with program management team, functional leads, Finance, PMO and the Program Delivery Steering Committee members
  • Report on schedule conflicts, highlight activities with delayed commencement dates and management of slack
  • Actively drive all planning sessions.

Core Requisites:

  • You will have previously have significant experience as a Master Scheduler for a complex Transformation Programme with a solid track record for delivery
  • Ability to critically assess business problems
  • Ability to manage changing work demands in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to negotiate and influence senior level stakeholders
  • Must understand team dynamics and have the ability to work in a collaborative or independent environment
