Project Engineer- Pre-Construction, Contract Administration and Contract Management

We are currently interested in hearing from Project Engineers and Managers with strong infrastructure experience on local Victorian projects. Our clients across the State Government, Consultancy and Contractor space are working with very strong project pipelines and actively working across some of Victoria's biggest road infrastructure projects. These clients are interested in Project Engineers who can work across various project phases from concept-completion with likelihood of being involved in design and construct projects.

The Job:

The general responsibilities of a Project Engineer may include;

  • Growing the local team to contribute towards the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects across Melbourne
  • Providing technical expertise to support various group projects
  • Providing a regular point of contact for all stakeholders
  • Contract Administration and scheduling
  • Working across pre construction stages and managing contract documentation
  • An ability to manage technical review meetings
  • Involvement of all aspects of project delivery across major road infrastructure projects
  • Liaising between project groups to obtain a clear focus throughout project concept to completion
  • Managing team performance
  • Bidding procurement and ensuring project delivery
  • Delivery of tender processes and working to strict schedule

The Person:

Our clients are looking for the candidate's who can provide evidence of;

  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. BEng Civil Engineering
  • 4-8 Years relevant experience working across large infrastructure projects
  • Ability to clearly instruct and explain processes to stakeholders
  • Excellent understanding of contract documentation and scheduling
  • Strong understanding of local government and procedure
  • Experience across a wide range of local projects ideally
  • Proven experience of developing new business or networking
  • Strong report writing and communication to end users
  • Project management experience across feasibility, planning, tendering and delivery process
  • Broad knowledge of civil projects and the Victorian project portfolio
