Graduate to 18 months Credit/Fraud experience

Having been described as a role where the required applicant will be able to "conduct open heart surgery, in the middle of a marathon, while the subject is still competing," this role is not for a fan of slow-paced environments.

My client is looking for the crème de la crème of graduates, or a high performing 1st year credit/fraud analyst. Working in a commercially astute environment, you will learn to tackle challenging problems in the risk / fraud space, employing statistical models in a real-world situation. You will thrive to succeed, but also embrace failure, as the models which you create will help to immediately impact on the bottom line of the organisation!

We are looking for the following in an individual:

    • An understanding of risk/fraud (either working knowledge, or a thesis / project based on it)

    • The ability to reprioritise, understand, process and deliver statistical information in a timely manner inside a fast-paced environment.

    • A person who looks at a direction or a decision and proactively asks the 'why' around the thinking behind it, if need be.

    • A deadline focused individual who doesn't let pressure affect them, but delivers to a high standard, and understands that the nature of what they do may take them over the usual 9
    • 5 work day.

A Statistics Degree, with strong exposure to Quantitative methodologies / mathematics is definitely non-negotiable, as is the ability to demonstrate how they have created, built and evaluate a model in relation to the risk field. (SQL, SAS, Oracle)

What is on offer is a flexible remuneration package, and a world in which you are celebrated for your success, encouraged and mentored through failure, and where expertise, creativity and challenging problems are in high demand!
