As a Feild Communications engineer you will engage with teams internally and externally to provide oversight through design and delivery of projects relating to control and comms networks. You will be assessing best practice based on current systems, while also looking to future state technologies to consider.

What will you do?

Provide professional advice to internal and external customers and consultants on traffic engineering components, communication networks and other related technologies.

Make the most of your Electrical registration, industrial electrical diagnostic and installation capability, to ensure quality control across the range of automation technology built into current and future transport systems.

Develop and manage projects so they are carried out with high levels of safety, integrity, quality and within budget

Confidently and effectively work with external projects, consultants and contractors to get the best outcomes.

Within a tight knit team you will be trained to support the roles of SCATS engineer and ITS Engineer if the need arises.

Who are you?

You have a passion for the latest developments, technologies, trends and best practice. Challenging the status quo, and influencing decision making regarding technology utilisation with a "Can Do" attitude.

You have an eye for detail, and current electrical registration to ensure quality control of current and new technology installed in the road network

Experience working with Industrial Automation and industrial diagnostic environments. This will include - PLC programming and PLC hardware, mechanical equipment, control panels, electronic circuit boards, CCTV technologies and communications networks.
