Fantastic new role at major bank
Auckland location
Extend your quantitative risk experience

We are currently seeking an experienced data-driven credit risk, market risk, portfolio management or asset and liability management professional for a challenging specialist role at a financial institution based in Auckland.

With a genuine passion for data and modelling, an ability to communicate that to the business, alongside a corresponding ability to add real value to stakeholders, you will be responsible for developing and operating the organisation's stress testing and scenario process for both internal stakeholders and regulators.

Your mandate is to take existing processes and drive a significant change such that they are viewed as relevant and informative business planning and decision making tools. This requires technical aptitude but also an ability to explain this value to a wider audience and a pragmatism that allows you to make commercially astute decisions.

If you can add to this an outstanding customer service focus, a collaborative and consultative style and the ability to exercise sound judgement you could soon be playing a key role in building the data management and process capability, reporting structure, and senior stakeholder engagement across the business team.

This role will suit an experienced analytics professional who has:

  • A strong knowledge of analytics including the ability to source data and build reports using SAS, plus reporting and presentation applications
  • A demonstrable expert knowledge of balance sheets and how to test scenarios showing the resilience of the balance sheet to external factors
  • Strong business / commercial acumen
  • Experience in working with senior stakeholders who may have competing priorities, alongside excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • The ability to be a self-starter and operate with minimal guidance
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications

If you are looking for a new role in the New Year this could be the opportunity for you - take a step into a highly regarded national brand and further your analytical career.

If this looks like the role for you, apply now using the appropriate link below. Please note applications will not be responded to until after January 8th when our office reopens. Alternatively, after this date you can call Jenny Groom for a confidential discussion on (09) 977 9908 quoting reference 9B/35154. Your interest will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
