As the head of function, you will be responsible for:

* Overseeing the implementation and setting up of Human Resources policies, procedures and practices
* Determining staffing requirements for organisational management and be involved in the interviewing and selection of staff
* Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulation
* Providing effective HR advice, guidance and solutions to leaders across the group
* Developing and delivering highly competitive HR services that anticipate and meet the needs of the organisation
* Implementing a performance management process for all staff which includes monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and conducting an annual performance review
* Coaching and mentoring staff as appropriate to improve performance
* Building and executing an effective employee development plan. To identify talent and competencies within the team for organisational development and succession planning

To be successful in the role, you will:

* Possess a Degree or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or any relevant education
* Must have at least 12 years experience in Human Resources, preferably with at least 8 years in a senior management capacity
* Have excellent judgement, strong influencing skills and an ability to manage a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels and across all cultures, whilst working with an international team
* Be highly versed in the human resources capacity, demonstrating a competent knowledge of local employment laws, compensation and benefits with a full understanding of local statutory requirements and market practices
* Demonstrated experience in leading and developing people and good business/commercial awareness with the ability to think strategically from a HR perspective
* Have a clear partnering focus, and first-hand experience of challenging and in driving people agendas
* Strong process mind, planning/organisational capability and problem solving ability
* Innovative thinker, strong change management skills, the ability to architect and drive transformation programs and lead teams through those programs effectively
* High energy and resilience, with a strong initiative and the ability to operate independently to a high level
