On behalf of our Government client, we are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Administration Officer to support their day-to-day functionality, and play a key role in ensuring that divisional deliverables, outcomes and plans are implemented effectively. Our client operates within the sphere of Justice and Regulation, so an ideal candidate would have prior experience in this area and be curious and excited about supporting their work throughout the community.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing and assisting the team with its day-to-day administration functions.
  • Assist in the co-ordination and preparation of documents.
  • Assist in sensitive evaluation processes, by reviewing documentation and ensuring meetings have been scheduled.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of briefing, correspondence, detailed reports and submissions.
  • Provide a broad range of administrative and support services for the whole team to prescribed standards. This includes preparing reports, undertaking research, and proofreading correspondence and documents before distribution.
  • Provide assistance for the management of contracts, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to investigate and resolve stakeholder enquiries.
  • Determine the work organisation to ensure effective and efficient administration processes and exercise professional judgement on the rules and policies that will support the coordination of sensitive and confidential tasks.
  • Arrange and coordinate interviews with external suppliers.
  • Identification and implementation of business improvement initiatives.
  • Using Microsoft Suite proficiently.
  • Experience using TRIM.

Our ideal candidate can work both autonomously and as a member of a team, and has demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service outcomes through outstanding verbal and written communication. You will bring to the team your enthusiastic and proactive personality, and the ability to problem solve. Previous Government experience highly desirable.
