Associate Structural Engineer - Buildings

An exciting opportunity has become available for Associate Structural Engineer to work within the buildings group of a major multidisciplinary consultancy.

In this role you will be involved in the design of various multi-storey and low rise buildings projects covering all sectors across residential, education and health projects, allowing you to showcase your creativity across the full range of structural materials including steel, masonry, concrete and glass.

Key responsibilities include:

  • The design and analysis of building structures; Residential, Industrial and Commercial
  • Develop strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business
  • Providing structural buildings analysis and a client-facing service
  • Liaising with clients and engineers to ensure projects meet the design brief
  • Manage team of 5 structural Designers and Engineers
  • Developing client relationships and providing a key focus for stakeholder support
  • Using associated structural software for design and analysis purposes.
  • Provide clear team focus and develop a clear understanding of corporate goals

To be considered for this role you will:

  • Be degree qualified - Civil/Structural Engineer
  • Have RPEQ/CPEng status
  • Be comfortable using traditional and practiced methods of engineering
  • Be capable of running technical meetings
  • Have confidence delivering technical structural design projects
  • Have a minimum of 10 years experience within Structural Engineering
  • Be familiar with associated structural software (AutoCAD)
  • Project experience with use of post-tension concrete and structures
  • Ideally have confidence of using RAPT and SpaceGASS within Structural Design
  • Hold strong interpersonal skills and can demonstrate technical leadership
  • Possess excellent communication skills with vast Project Management experience.
