About The Role

Our client based in the North Western Suburbs requires a talented Business Development Executive - Australian Market expert in building & maintaining long lasting relationships with clients. This role will specialise in school tours across our diverse & culturally rich country. Key domestic destinations include, Canberra, Central Australia, Northern Territory, Tasmania and Sydney and there are a number of tours across all states. This exciting role requires thorough knowledge of both education & a lust for the adventure of travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uncovering & engaging with new clients, to grow accounts across Australia.
  • Following up frequently and maintaining engagement with existing clients to ensure a high conversion of sales leads.
  • Promotion of tours & destinations in align with company goals, marketing initiatives & sales expectations
  • Maintaining a detailed, organised & thorough database of teachers, including unqualified, qualified & active leads & reflecting this on the CRM.
  • Managing the entire sales process, working with teachers to create structured timelines for students, also providing reference & resource to teachers to utilise while enrolling students.
  • Be passionate about what you do, educating yourself on all products & tours available

About You

Are you currently a successful Business Development Executive, with a background in education, curriculum based & a passion for leisure, travel & tourism?

Have you travelled Australia & want to share your experiences?

Are you experienced in B2B sales with a long selling cycle?

Do you have a consultative approach?

Are you driven and competitive? Do you know how to prepare, present & pursue?

Are you comfortable building & developing relationships over the phone?

Have you worked in education travel?

A Bachelor Degree with 2-3 years of progressive sales experience and demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales quotas in business development and account management. The role requires effective communication & presentation skills, being able to engage all levels of stakeholders, both internally & externally for positive outcomes. You must have a toolkit that is built for successful objection handling & have the hunger to do business in the network that you create. It is essential that you have a strong attention to detail & that you can articulate both written & in oral presentation. Previous CRM usage & proficient computer skills a must.


Base salary of $60,000 - $70,000 inc Super + commission.
