An exciting 5 month contract opportunity exists for an experienced VPS5 Business Process Change Professional to work for a large state government department located in the heart of Melbourne. Starting at the end of January or beginning of February, you will work to contribute to organisational change related to an important humanitarian scheme and associated activities within the division.

Your main responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Development and implementation of an information sharing model and new system tools
  • Organisational change tasks, including reviewing and developing policies, procedures and business processes
  • Development of an engagement and communication strategy and effective stakeholder engagement
  • Identifying training needs and planning the delivery of these needs
  • Development and management of a schedule that will track activity milestones while taking into account risks and business readiness.

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

  • Prior experience in the delivery of the abovementioned tasks in a public sector organization
  • Excellent change management skills and strategic thinking
  • The ability to be a self-starter
  • Strong organisation and planning ability
  • Demonstrated risk management capabilities
  • Experience in the coordination of end-user training
