This Federal Government organisation is looking for a claims officer to join their team of 10 people within the next 2 weeks. This is an on-going contract and located in Perth CBD. We are looking for a candidate with previous experience working in injury management or rehabilitation claims.

The role will see you managing a portfolio of workers compensation, injury management and rehabilitation claims. Your ability to demonstrate empathy for individual circumstances is essential. You must be able to follow guidelines and adhere to all policies and procedures.

To be successful for this role you must demonstrate:

  • Strong customer service skills and phone manner
  • Proven ability to assess, gather information and investigate claims
  • Ability to make confident judgements
  • Previous experience as a Case Manager or a Claims Consultant from within workers compensation or a health organisation
  • Be confident to chase up missing documentation such as medicals and letters
  • Be comfortable to liaise with various service providers
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • High attention to detail
  • Understanding how a government organisation works is preferred but not essential
