My client is on the hunt for a Communications Specialist to join their newly created program office. The role is responsible for developing and coordinating all communications to ensure distribution of accurate, timely, and professional media to stakeholders and external sources. You will oversee the development and implementation of the strategic plan and projects, reporting directly into the Senior Communications Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop appropriate communications plans in consultation with the manager, team members and key stakeholders to assist on projects.
  • Writing and editing content for the website and social media.
  • Develop a variety of communication materials designed to engage busy stakeholder groups, promote awareness and meet necessary deadlines.
  • Effective stakeholder management of key leaders and leadership forums
  • Identify opportunities for change, communications and training interventions required to support the successful implementation of business strategies

Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar role, and an understanding of the context and culture of the education sector
  • Proven capabilities working on both internal and external communications, and having an engagement of multiple channels
  • High level oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Energetic, flexible and well organised with good time management skills
  • Demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A professional approach and a willingness to work in a high performing team that values openness and transparency
