Our client is a state government authority that looks after commercial shipping activities in major ports.

Due to the increase of construction projects, there is a newly created vacancy for a construction project manager to ensure the successful delivery of varied allocated building & infrastructure projects on ports.

The Role:

As the Construction Project Manager, you will be reporting to the General Manager of Asset & Infrastructure to scope, plan and execute projects within budget, time and quality requirement;

  • Providing technical and project management support to a wide variety of allocated projects (Building, maritime structure, traffic communication infrastructure and utilities etc.)
  • Support General Manager and Senior Project Managers to carry out condition assessments, technical investigations, life-cycle analysis and capital development program.
  • Assisting with Contract administration including tender preparation/review, technical specifications, reports, RFIs and document control.
  • Liaise and negotiate with key internal/external stakeholders (engineering consultant, contractor, committee and board members etc.) to achieve successful outcome
  • Providing procurement and relevant projects and asset maintenance tasks.

The Person:

To be considered as the Construction Project Manager, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
  • 7-10 years' experience in project management predominantly in maritime structures, buildings and utilities.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple major construction projects with solid understanding of contract administration and documentation.
  • Familiarity with Asset Management Principle with ability to implement/manage maintenance program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill with ability of liaising key stakeholders
  • Skilled in Project Management Software (MS-Project)
