An immediately available opportunity is available for an experienced and hands on facilities coordinator to join a diverse and innovative team located in Melbourne's CBD.

Working alongside like-minded professionals, your primary focus will be to oversee the delivery of key office facilities, building maintenance and all minor and major works.

About the role:

This role is responsible for leading the maintenance and facilities of our client's organisation. This position requires the ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and independence, whilst also being able to work as part of a strong team of Office Services professionals to ensure exceptional customer service. There is the requirement to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, therefore requiring extensive communication skills.

Your role will be exceptionally varied, and will mainly consist of the following key responsibilities:

  • Management of general office facilities and oversee contractors
  • Maintain all office equipment including those located in Kitchens, Meeting rooms and Wellness Area
  • Manage weekly pool car maintenance and resolve any escalations
  • Coordinate and review annual service agreements and scheduled maintenance and negotiating preferred rates with suppliers and contractors
  • Planning and coordinating minor office works, including installations and refurbishments and assist with major refurbishments
  • Action and respond to staff requests for maintenance and provide reports
  • Conduct audits to ensure building and floor are clean, tidy and free of hazards
  • Liaise with Building Management at all premises
  • Liaise with building security on any building issues
  • Budgeting, invoicing and financial administration and support

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Recognised tertiary qualifications in Office Administration
  • Industry experience in Facilities within a corporate environment
  • The ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks and handle various deadlines effectively
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure during stressful situations
  • the ability to remain positively motivated and foster team spirit
