Immediate Opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager

Our client is a well known organisation with offices all across Australia & NZ. As a result of an internal move they are now recruiting a Facilities Team Leader to manager a team of Facilities Managers across soft and hard services.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement Head of Procurement, Vendor Management & Facilities this role will lead the team providing provision and management of nationwide office facilities and related services forthe client. In addition to the team leadership function, this role will also have direct responsibility to lead the management of the main head offices in Melbourne.

Responsabilities:

  • Provide strong leadership to the Facilities team to enable the delivery of the Facilities/Cbus strategy
  • Capable of motivating and developing a team
  • Soft and Hard services area management
  • Regularly inspect condition of properties actioning or directing the action of any required works/initiatives necessary to protect and enhance asset values.
  • Better practice processes into the Facilities management approach, with a particular focus on delivering a customer centric experience which enables the client's staff to do their best work.
  • Manage building lease arrangements, including lease establishment/negotiation around the operation of the office
  • Leads planning and implementation of major facilities upgrade projects
  • Establishes, monitors, and manages office-related contracts with suppliers and third-party service providers in collaboration with the procurement team
  • Reporting around asset and facilities utilisation and demonstration of process improvements and efficiencies, including environmental reporting as appropriate
  • Contributes to training of new staff to ensure they understand how to use the office facilities and the relevant health and safety issues
  • Assess health and safety risks, keeps up to date with regulations, and ensures compliance from external contractors

Skills:

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, business administration, finance, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated facilities management leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in Fixed Asset Register maintenance
  • Vehicle fleet management experience
  • Commercial lease negotiation, establishment and management experience
  • Previous experience in managing a small dedicated team
