Our Victorian Government client is seeking an Industrial Relations - Information and Compliance Officer to join their Industrial Relations team on a contract basis.

Key accountabilities

  • Provide advice and information to the public on the operation and impact of relevant industrial relations legislation, and promote compliance with this legislation to employers, employees and the community
  • Undertake office-based investigations of compliance with relevant state industrial relations legislation by employers.
  • Undertake functions for the ongoing administration under the Child Employment Act 2003, including the processing and determination of applications, and the issuing of Child Employment Permits.
  • Assist to develop, plan and deliver information services to relevant organisations.

Key skills required

  • Good organisational and administrative skills and demonstrated ability to work to tight time frames
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office programs and Lotus Notes
  • An understanding of the industrial relations system in Australia is essential
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
