The role:

My client is a construction software industry leader and they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced inside sales representative to join their team in Chatswood.

The Sales Representative position is responsible for generating revenue by closing sales of software solutions to a specific set of existing customers - approximately 200 small - medium customer accounts.

They are looking for someone who is a hunter and they will need to be comfortable to do demonstrations to customers around their products which will predominantly be over WebEx.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute the sales process for a targeted group of assigned customer businesses.
  • Effectively manage a sales pipeline and achieve sales targets and forecasts.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and professional proposals to customers.
  • Respond to RFI's (Request for Information) and RFP's (Request for Proposal) where necessary.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, results and forecast.
  • Provide market feedback and accurate forecasting to the management team to optimise strategy and positioning of offerings.
  • Provide regular web-based product demonstrations, plus occasional in situ product demonstrations and customer meetings.
  • Close business opportunities with a sense of urgency and professionalism.
  • Attend trade shows and industry conventions when appropriate.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and provide solutions to customer issues
  • Ability to cold call into a territory, develop & manage a territory
  • Ability to quickly develop and maintain a high level of knowledge of the company's software products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain active pipeline and forecast utilising a CRM system

Requirements:

  • 100% hunter mentality is needed for this role

  • 3-5 Years of successful experience in inside sales
  • Strong tele-sales skills including ability to manage and close deals

  • Experience selling enterprise software particularly with ERP or Best of Breed Software is desirable

  • Core understanding and working knowledge of the construction industry will be advantageous
  • Track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets
  • Ability to demonstrate a web-based product in an effective, professional presentation manner

  • University degree preferred
