About the Role

As the Transport Planner, you will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of a wide range of public and private sector transport planning projects here in Western Australia. Additionally, you will be instrumental in engaging with key stakeholders with the aim to grow and develop client relationships.

Key Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Planning or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a consulting environment
  • Extensive technical knowledge, and knowledge of standards, guidelines, current trends and legislation in order to deliver innovative and practical transport solutions
  • An understanding of the local MRWA transport market
  • Understanding of transport and traffic modelling processes
  • Experience across a range of technical areas that might include integrated land use and transport planning, strategic transport planning, multi-modal transport studies, options assessments, feasibility studies, strategic transport policy development and preparation of business cases.
  • A track record in successfully delivering projects to clients' needs whilst managing team members and budgets
  • High level communication skills to liaise with the team, senior management and external stakeholders to produce commercial, client focused outcomes
  • Provide technical input to studies including data analysis.
  • Aid in the development of more junior planners and distribute work to the team where necessary.
