Our client is a reputable government organisation providing service desk and systems support to multiple off-site clients. As a helpdesk support officer you will provide a first point of contact for response and resolution of desktop infrastructure and application issues. The role reports directly to the ICT Service Delivery Coordinator.

Your primary duties will be:

  • Providing professional, responsive, timely assistance to the customers in resolving a range of ICT related incidents.
  • Assist with the implementation of the ICT strategies
    • Customer liaison to implement Microsoft 2 Factor Authentication on Office 365 accounts
    • Client liaison to rollout application whitelisting policy to the organisation and it customer
  • Actively contribute to the growth and development of knowledge in the service desk team by maintaining technical documentation.
  • Assist in the development of client training materials, fact sheets and the provision of training on the use of ICT hardware and application software.

You will demonstrate the following:

  • Proven history of contributing own expertise in providing service/help desk support through first and second tier desktop and systems support
  • A strong Windows background
  • History resolving a high number of technical problems at first point of contact.
  • Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members and customers alike.
  • History of negotiating confidently
