Our client is currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join our highly engaged and dynamic workforce within their Operations in Western Australia.

Technical accountabilities

  1. Contributing to ensuring the health and safety of all personnel in the Mining Department and who work in the mine.
  2. Contributing to ensuring the there is a comprehensive suite of fit-for-purpose systems in place and operating properly in the Mining Department.
  3. Contributing to the ensuring the Mining Department meets its environmental, community and statutory obligations and is considered a welcome guest in host communities.
  4. Contributing to ensuring a constructive and creative environment for business improvement within the Mining Department.
  5. Contribute to the mine planning and scheduling processes, through the provision of technical capacity in various areas including mine planning, drill & blast, backfill, ventilation and scheduling.
  6. Ensuring performance against mine plans and schedules is tracked.
  7. Contributing to the annual budget process.
  8. Contributing to timely and accurate reporting of Mining Department activity.

Scheduling accountabilities

9. Managing effective use of available resources, including time, in support of delivery of business outputs by the Mining Department.

People accountabilities

10. Ensuring own work performance meets all role requirements.

11. Ensuring personal development in existing role.

12. Developing operational readiness for redeployment into other Mining Engineering roles by training of other team members.


  • Behaviour consistent with Company Values
  • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes
  • Current unencumbered West Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence
  • A Mining Engineering qualification accredited by the Institute of Engineers Australia, as required for WA First Class Mine Manager certification
  • Two (2) to three (3) years relevant work experience
  • Completion of underground practical experience as required for WA First Class Mine Manager certification
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines on multiple tasks
  • High level of enthusiasm for the work with high performance goals
  • Commercial acumen relevant to the role
  • Dangerous Goods Security Card


  • Relevant resources industry work experience

This is a full time role offered on a 8 day on / 6 day off, roster FIFO from Perth, DIDO from Kalgoorlie or Residential Leonora.
