Hudson is proudly partnering with a leading Local Government body, Glen Eira City Council to source a Project Manager to take a leading role within their newly created PMO.

The Organisation:

Glen Eira is currently going through an exciting transformation journey to ensure Council continue to deliver services effectively and efficiently to the community. This transformation fosters an inclusive and collaborative culture that values continual employee development. Glen Eira's newly formed PMO will be responsible for planning and delivering a broad range of community based (built infrastructure) projects with a strong emphasis on stakeholder partnerships throughout the full lifecycle of projects.

The Role:

The formation of this diverse team has created an exciting opportunity to be a part of a transformation journey not just within the immediate team but also throughout the wider Glen Eira City Council. Reporting to the PMO's Senior Program Manager this newly created role of Project Managers will take a lead in the full lifecycle of built form projects.

To do this, your role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing the full life cycle of projects (Initiation, Planning, Execution and Closure)
  • Creating and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation including Executive Leadership Team, third party contractors, consultants and community groups
  • Contract managing the construction of built form projects, monitoring OH&S on building sites and facilitating the handover process of completed projects
  • Monitoring project budgets and preparing financial reports as required on project progress

The Applicant:

As an agile and collaborative Project Manager, you will be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change. With a strong desire for developing and maintaining positive relationships you will have significant experience delivering built form projects from initiation to closure. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Qualifications in Project Management, Construction or relevant field
  • Experience in delivering built form projects (office fitout / relocation experience highly desirable)
  • Experience working within a State or Local Government body highly desirable
  • An understanding of the relevant legislative requirements and standards
  • A track record of developing excellent rapport with a broad range of stakeholders and community groups
