Our client is a state government authority, which is aiming at improving Victoria's livability through a range of major infrastructure projects around Melbourne.

We are currently looking for experienced Project Manager to join their busy project team in Western Suburb for an immediate start.

The Role:

As a Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the end-to-end delivery of multiple civil engineering projects, in addition, you will:

  • Manage construction activities of major large-scale infrastructure projects at all aspects of project delivery.
  • Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Manage the budget, monitor all costs and provide current and forecast financial reports
  • Contract administration, project scheduling, reporting and pre-construction planning
  • Ensure the objective and deadline of the works package are met, and manage project risks or issues throughout delivery
  • Liaising between project teams to obtain a clear focus throughout project concept to completion
  • Site investigation ensuring the project delivery and supervision of site activities

The person:

To be considered for the project manager role, you will have:

  • Relevant Territory Qualification such as BEng Civil Engineering
  • 10 years+ proven project management experience in Tier 1 or 2 contractor environment.
  • Experience in end to end delivery of infrastructure (Road, Highway, Rail and Buildings) projects in Victoria.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently with a focus on budget control.
  • Excellent communication skill with proven experience in different stakeholder engagement environment - allowing a streamlined delivery process.
  • Excellent knowledge in financial management and project planning.
