The Role

As Project Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the development of marketing strategies and overseeing the implementation of marketing activity to deliver against key annual sales and marketing objectives across a portfolio of state projects. These will include digital, sponsorships, branding, development of strategic marketing plans & marketing execution along with detailed market research to maximise capability.

Key responsibilities will include:-

  • Preparation of strategic marketing plans for each project on an annual basis, outlining project vision and positioning, marketing objectives, communication strategies and tactics; including media and campaign messaging, public relations and budget allocation
  • Responsible for brand management and compliance across the portfolio
  • Responsible for maintaining and building brand awareness and positive brand equity across all projects
  • Manage the undertaking of customer, market and competitor research as appropriate and implement marketing strategies based on sound quantitative analysis of research results
  • Assist with preparation for and facilitation of project vision workshops (as required)
  • Develop marketing strategies designed to deliver against key customer contact objectives to facilitate sales
  • Work with key internal stakeholders to ensure advertising and media releases are proofed and placed in a timely fashion adhering to the media relations policy
  • Oversee implementation of sponsorship initiatives as appropriate to meet project objectives
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to ensure a compliant brand representation of company projects and project digital assets

Skills and attributes to be successful in this role will include:-

  • Bachelor of Business (Marketing) or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience in agency and/or marketing roles
  • Experience in developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns, including advertising, sponsorship, public relations, promotions, digital marketing and event management
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong and proven budget management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite
  • For this role, a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle will be required
