Hudson recruitment are looking for a motivated and driven project coordinator for a 12 month contract in Brisbane for a well-recognised medical and health organisation.

The organisation:

Provides quality healthcare to patients, especially in regional communities plays an integral role in reducing hospital emergency department presentations, and thus relieving pressure on the public hospital system .

You will be responsible for working towards delivering projects to improve the model of care in the after-hours and support General Practices. You will work with general practice, allied health, pharmacies and community health care providers to drive improvements and greater integration in primary health care and ensure that services are better tailored to meet the needs of the local community.

Key responsibilities;

  • Engage and support general practice and other stakeholders to facilitate improvements in our local health system
  • Taking the lead, in the development, implementation and evaluation of key projects.
  • Monitoring, reporting and analysing the progress of approved project deliverables, including performance indicators, targets and budgets.
  • Providing to a high standard, timely advice, briefings, reports and correspondence to the CEO and other stakeholder groups.
  • Travel to Brisbane, Mackay, Townsville or Cairns. Travel will be required on occasion to be covered
  • Supporting General Practices in the After hours will be required at times

If you have the following, then we'd love to hear from you:

  • Experience in providing high level coordination of projects, activities or programs (preferably in a health-related industry).
  • Demonstrated capacity to both coordinate and support projects - including an understanding of timeframes, planning, evaluation and budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in working in and contributing to a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with a demonstrated ability to use initiative and be self motivated.
  • Well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft office products.
  • Comfortable with directing the development and use of information technology to improve access to healthcare.
  • Candidates with project management, practice management and other administrative health related experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
