ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Risk Manager is a 2 year fixed term contract role reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance and is responsible for providing risk advice in line with the enterprise wide risk framework that assists senior stakeholders with decision making on projects.

DUTIES

  • Leadership - inspiring direction and purpose; optimising business outcomes and leading reform and change
  • Risk Management - Input into strategic executive decision making from a risk perspective as needed for projects
  • Stakeholders - communicate effectively, commit to customer service, work collaboratively and influence and negotiate
  • Results - deliver results, plan and prioritise, think and solve problems, demonstrate accountability
  • Business enablers - finance, technology, procurement, contract management and project management
  • Personal attributes - display resilience and courage, act with integrity, lead self and value diversity

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level in an appropriate discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the evaluation and improvement of internal controls and risk management frameworks (i.e. ISO31000)
  • Ability to understand and apply PMBOK principles
  • High level analytical, reporting and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience the entire project lifecycle with Major Infrastructure Project Risk Management
  • Solid experience and proven capacity in auditing and/or risk management for a large corporation or utility
  • High level experience in resource management, business planning, negotiating and influencing stakeholders
