This role will be undertaking both bulk and standard recruitment within this government department.

The Key accountabilities of the role are:

  • Undertake recruitment activities to ensure effective, accurate and timely recruitment and selection
  • Provide advice and support to managers on matters relating to recruitment, selection and appointment of staff and associated policies, procedures and processes and ensure compliance with relevant Acts and legislation
  • Utilise best practice and transparent recruitment and selection tools for allocated recruitment activities which focus on delivery and alignment to recruitment strategies and policies
  • Collect and collate statistical data regarding recruitment activities to support workforce planning
  • Utilise the online recruitment system (Taleo) to manage candidates and recruitment activities
  • Coach Managers and staff in the use of the online recruitment system to ensure accuracy of recruitment and mobility information
  • Assist in the monitoring and compliance of recruitment activities and records management to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines

Key challenges

  • Maintaining current knowledge of public sector and internal policy, procedures and legislation that impact on the delivery of recruitment services
  • Balancing demands from Hiring Managers whilst delivering an effective and efficient level of recruitment support

The successful candidate should have:

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and experience of following recruitment practices and procedures
