Reporting to the Associate Director, Organisational Development and Culture, the Senior People Development Specialist is a key role within the Organisational Development team. The role leads a small team which designs, delivers and evaluates programs and initiatives to develop the organisational culture and leadership capacity in line with their values of integrity, respect, diversity, purpose and excellence, with a future focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team to develop clear strategic objectives ensuring programs are fit for purpose and serves as a key driver for performance and career development outcomes.
  • Lead and manage planning, stakeholder engagement and implementation of programs to build organisational effectiveness and achieve successful cultural change.
  • Coach and lead the People Development team to recommend and deliver high quality people development products
  • Develop and lead outcome focussed organisational interventions by using needs analysis techniques
  • Conduct capability development workshops in areas such as leadership, change, resilience, performance management and coaching


  • Postgraduate qualifications in human resources, organisational behavior, psychology, or related field
  • Demonstrated extensive experience as a corporate organisational effectiveness professional with a proven track record in designing, facilitating, and operationalising innovative learning, leadership and culture interventions for a diverse and complex organization.
  • Applied knowledge of contemporary and innovative learning and development models
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills behaviours
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the issues and challenges within the higher education sector.
