About the role

Our client requires an experienced Social Media Coordinator for an immediate start based at their Head office in the south east suburbs. Reporting to the Communications Manager you will be responsible for supporting the development of social media strategy, and implementing effective social media campaigns.

Key accountabilities

Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the organisation's social media strategy via social media channels to increase brand loyalty, customer engagement, community size and traffic
  • Monitor trends in social media channels trends, tools, industry trends and applications
  • Monitor and manage social media issues and coordinate appropriate communications
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and responding to customer feedback and queries via social media channels
  • Keep the organisation's Social Media policy and guidelines up to date and relevant to a constantly changing social media environment.
  • Provide advice and support to the organisation's staff on social media initiatives that support the organisation's strategic directions.

Experience and Skills

The experience and skills you will need to demonstrate include:

  • Tertiary qualifications preferable in Communications, Public Relations, Social Media or similar.
  • Proven understanding of and experience using social media in a retail environment and/or commercial environment
  • Extensive experience using a wide variety of social media channel including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, community management
  • Excellent written and communications skills, with strong stakeholder and agency management experience
  • Excellent research skills to keep up with fast moving trends in online and digital media.
  • Demonstrated skills in relevant digital media, including video production and editing, digital imagery and web publishing, with a basic understanding of HTML and Adcast Next, and experience in Salesforce (Social Studio)
  • Well organised with strong planning skills - excellent project and time management
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively.
