Immediate Start With State Government
Potential Long Term Contract
Excellent Work-Life-Balance Options

The Role:

We are currently looking to hire an immediate contractor to work in a technical Communications space as a Technical Writer within State Government.

This role will suit an immediately available Junior Electrical Engineer, or a candidate familiar with basic Systems Engineering understanding to work in a 6 week initial contract with a high likelihood of extending until the end of 2017.

It is essential that candidates will have excellent communication skills in order to work closely with Engineers and produce written documentation and reports around Engineering ideas, solutions and instructions in relation to technical installation for Communication Systems across a variety of Transport Vehicles.

The Job:

The technical writer will be expected to take ownership of project documents and finalise them for approval and distribution. These include:

  • Installation Standard - Facilities
  • Installation Standard - Transport Vehicles
  • Installation Standard - 24V trucks Vehicles
  • Installation Standard - Transport Vehicles
  • Installation Standard - Boats
  • Other project documents as needed

The technical writer will be provided draft documents and (where no draft is available) templates. The technical writer will then work with the project team to gather the information needed to update the documents, and coordinate the document reviews and approvals. These documents will act as the baseline for the current installation standards.

The entire set of documents will then need to be updated to reflect the new solution (i.e., the future installation standards) to be implemented by the project.

If you are interested in an immediate role within State Government which will open up a strong likelihood of longer-term opportunity, then apply via the link.
