The Opportunity

The Senior Credit Risk Analyst sits within a small commercial team to help enhance their capability in fraud detection and prevention. This will include assessing customer risk profiling, analysis of fraud prevention and development of scorecards.

Utilising your strong technical skills (SAS or SQL) you will help to provide insights into fraudulent activity through the analysis of data, provision of reporting and identification of changing consumer behaviour that can feed into their fraud strategy and decide what the optimal risk profile for the organisation is.

The Person

You will be both technically proficient in data mining (using the likes of SAS and SQL) as well as have the ability to hold credible commercial conversations with key stakeholders. Given our client seeks experience, having the aptitude to influence within the team is also desirable.

To be considered for this role, it is critical to have a numerate tertiary qualification and have a number of years' demonstrated experience in a credit risk environment. You will have knowledge of customer modelling (such as credit decisioning scorecards) and given the landscape in which they work, you will need to be agile enough to work in a constantly changing environment where risk mitigation and prevention is becoming everyday language.
